Stillness Practices
Straw Breathing
Breath-Focused
A cooling, calming exercise that uses a narrow mouth posture to naturally prolong your exhales. Lengthening the exhale signals the brain that you are completely safe and can relax.

Instructions
Relax your face: Part your teeth and loosen your jaw muscles.
Inhale naturally: Take a gentle breath in through your nose.
Purse your lips: Shape your mouth as if you are holding a tiny drinking straw between your lips.
Blow a thin stream: Exhale very slowly through the imaginary straw, making the breath last twice as long as the inhale.
Empty gently: Let the air trail off without forcing it at the very end.
Repeat for minutes: Continue for 1 to 2 minutes until your heart rate starts to feel noticeably slower.
